Ajowan himself has no physical form, his soul residing inside a large ceramic jar called an albastron. Because of this, it is easier for Ajowan to make riskier moves (such as attempting to take inspiration away from other villages), since attacking his smoke form simply causes him to vanish and reappear above his albastron.
